District Students Visit Body Venture

EAT SMART. PLAY HARD.
Bennington and Tescott students experienced the Body Venture on Nov
19th.
This is an educational traveling exhibit for K-5 students sponsered
by the
Child Nutrition and Wellness from the Kansas Dept of Education. It
is a
35x40 feet exhibit that includes the Body Venture lunchroom, brain,
mouth,
stomach, small intestine, heart, lungs, bones, muscles, skin and
the pathway
to life. Students learned interesting facts about the digestive
system and
nutritional facts. Students had a nutritional snack at the
completion of the
exhibit and they took home an activity booklet as well. The
Wellness
Committee would like to express a HUGE THANK YOU to all of those
who
volunteered to set up the exhibits, participated as a speaker, and
those who
helped break down the exhibit. Everyone learned how to apply the
Power
Panther slogan, EAT SMART. PLAY HARD. Body Venture came to
Bennington on November 19. Thanks to all who made this
tremendous experience possible!
