Mrs. Bigler

Mrs. Bigler is our first teacher spotlight of the year.  Thank you to Mr. Winters' Advisory for creating this project. 

Mrs. Anissa Bigler

 

Graduated from Council Grove High School in Council Grove, KS.

Was a cheerleader when she was in high school.

Graduated from Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS.

Has been in education for 25 years and became a teacher because she loves words and students.

She has worked for USD 240 for 4 years.

Mrs. Bigler teaches at both Bennington and Tescott. At Bennington she teaches Junior English, college English comp 1, college English comp 2 and college speech. At Tescott Mrs. Bigler teaches freshmen and senior English and publications.

Mrs. Bigler enjoys teaching at Bennington because she likes the students; ”it almost feels like a family.”

She  loves teaching writing because “you can take 26 letters and write anything.”

Outside of school, Mrs. Bigler enjoys traveling with her husband.

Her favorite movie is The Emperor's New Groove, because it makes her laugh every single time.

If Mrs. Bigler could not be a teacher, she would be an office manager or a person who organizes things.

Mrs. Bigler’s special talent is to be able to know when people are happy or sad and to be a good listener.

 She has a dog named Paige that is a mini australian shepherd
